CityServe 2026
What might happen if our church family stepped out together to serve Baltimore in the name of Jesus?
Join us for CityServe 2026, a powerful day of serving our city and loving our neighbors through practical acts of compassion. On Saturday, May 30, 2026, we will come together to meet needs, build relationships, and make the hope of Christ visible across Baltimore.
CityServe is more than a service opportunity. It is a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to display and declare the Gospel, and to serve our city with humility, joy, and purpose.
This year, everyone who is able is encouraged to bring 5 to 10 non-perishable food items to support the University of Maryland (UMD) Food Pantry. To make things even more exciting, we will host a friendly donation competition between Gospel Communities, City Youth, and City Kids groups. When you arrive at CityServe, place your items at the sign for your group. If you are not yet connected to or involved in one of these groups, you can still be part of the fun by adding your donations to the general collection area! The group that brings the most items will win a pizza party, and the UMD Food Pantry Serve Team will count and sort all donations that morning!
Will you join us?
Sign up today to get involved! Deadline to RSVP is May 27!
Note: To care for our church family and community, we require background checks for all adults (18 and older) who participate. If you have not previously completed a background check through RCC, we will arrange to have one submitted on your behalf before the event.
For questions, please contact Pastor Bill Voelp at bvoelp@rccbaltimore.org or Jess Pariso!
*Specific projects and more information to follow as the date approaches! Contact Pastor Bill Voelp at bvoelp@rccbaltimore.org or Jess Pariso if you have questions.

End of Lent & Worship Night
End of Lent & Worship Night
“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!”
Psalm 150:6 (ESV)
Over the past 40 days, many in our church family have set aside intentional time during Lent to pray, fast, reflect on Scripture, and draw nearer to the Lord. As we approach the end of this season and celebrate the hope of Easter, we want to gather together to rejoice in what God has done in our hearts and lives.
Join us on Thursday, April 16, for a special End of Lent & Worship Night as we lift our voices in praise and give thanks for the Lord’s faithfulness. Throughout the evening, we will worship together and hear testimonies from members of our church family about how God has worked during this Lenten season.
Following our time of worship, we’ll continue the fellowship with desserts and tea, creating space to encourage one another and celebrate the grace of God in our lives.
Even if you did not participate in Lent this year, you are warmly invited to come, worship, and be encouraged by what the Lord is doing among us.
We look forward to rejoicing in God’s goodness together!

Teach Us To Pray | Prayer Course for Men & Women
Do you long to experience God moving in powerful ways in your life and in the lives of those around you? Do you desire a deeper, more intimate connection with Him?
Prayer is an invitation to know God truly and to witness His work with awe and expectancy. Whether prayer feels familiar or brand new, this course is designed to meet you where you are. God is endlessly vast, yet wonderfully near. We never exhaust the wonder of who He is, and He delights in drawing close to His people.
This spring, we invite you to be part of something new. Join us for our first-ever joint Men’s and Women’s Prayer Course. Our heart is to unite the men and women of our church around prayer, learning together how to breathe in through prayer and exhale by displaying and declaring the gospel in Baltimore and beyond.
You might be wondering how this works as both a men’s and women’s ministry. We believe God is doing something unique in our church and our city through prayer, and that gathering together around prayer will lead to lasting spiritual fruit. Each session will include a shared large-group teaching with voices from both men and women, followed by smaller single-gender groups of five to seven people. These groups will provide space to process personally, pray for one another, and grow in community. Men’s groups will meet on the third floor and women’s groups on the second floor.
The class will meet biweekly for five weeks, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, on the second floor. Dates are listed below. Participants are asked to purchase a journal and a copy of Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools by Tyler Staton, and to read the Introduction and Chapter 1 before the first session. Please read through the syllabus here!
If you are hungry to grow in prayer, to be shaped by God’s presence, and to seek Him alongside your church family, this class is for you. Space is limited. Sign up today and come expectant for what the Lord will do!

Fasting & Prayer
We have a monthly rhythm of setting aside one Wednesday to pray and fast for our lives, church, city, and the nations. This occurs the first Wednesday of every month from 7-8am in the MPR (with December as the exception).
By entering into this practice, we seek to live the blessed life described in the Beatitudes of people who truly hunger and thirst for righteousness. We are orienting our desires to be for more of God and desiring for His will to be done in Baltimore as it is in Heaven.
