SERVE OUR CITY
At RCC, we’re creating tangible opportunities to display and declare the Gospel by serving alongside local organizations.
Below, you’ll find information about our serving partners.
SAFE FAMILIES
SAFE Families works to preserve family units by mobilizing the church and community to step in when needs arise instead of resorting to the foster care system. There are many different levels of involvement, including being a host family, family friend, family coach, and resource friend. We are excited to come together to love the children and families in our community in this way.
If you are interested in learning more about each of these specific roles, you can find more info on their website. If you have questions or want to get involved, please reach out to our SAFE Families ministry lead Tiana Melis, or email info@rccbaltimore.org.
FOSTER THE FAMILY
Based in Catonsville, but serving all of Central Maryland, Foster the Family provides holistic support and care to foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Their mission is to make sure that children are seen and families are equipped, encouraged, and have the skills and tools they need to keep loving the children in their care and families impacted by foster care. They accomplish this by hosting support groups, respite care for parents, special events for families, and delivering FosterCare packages with new items for children when entering a new home.
You can support them by preparing a meal for the freezer for families when they have a medical emergency or get a new placement, writing an encouraging note, providing child care for a respite or support group night, preparing and delivering care packages, or helping at one of their events! RCC hosts respite nights and support groups throughout the year and also has a Pass Along closet on site for families to shop. Learn more on their website or email Jillian Wilkerson.
GOOD NEIGHBOR DAY
Once a year, we come together for a morning of cleaning, feeding, and caring for our neighborhood. We go out in teams to clean litter off the streets, distribute boxes of food for the hungry, and pray over our streets.
SALAAM CENTER
The Salaam Center Baltimore serves refugees and other immigrants from the Middle East and helps them to adjust to life in America. We are excited to partner with The Salaam Center in teaching ESL classes, throwing parties, and welcoming our new neighbors to their new homes.

10:12 SPORTS
10:12 Sports (named after 2 Samuel 10:12) is on a mission to display and declare Jesus through sports mentoring (primarily football & basketball).
In these leagues, local men take on the role of coaches and mentors to a group of 10-15 teenagers. These men coach & model what it takes to win on the field, court, and, more importantly, in life. Walking beside these teenagers as they experience the highs and lows of life while showing them the love of Christ through relationships, is what makes these mentoring relationships effective.
Visit 10:12's website to find out how you can get involved!
COMPASSION CENTER
The Compassion Center is focused on meeting the physical and spiritual needs of residents in Southeast Baltimore for the past 50 years. The building is open to the public and is stocked with clothing, household items, linens and books. The center also has a food pantry and emergency supplies for the homeless.
For more information on how to get involved, send Haven City Church a quick note with “Compassion Center” in the subject line.
WILLIAM PACA ELEMENTARY
We understand that good, accessible schooling is one of the pillars of flourishing communities. To ensure that the children in our community have access to good schooling, we have partnered with William Paca Elementary School. This means that we'll do everything we can to support the school's mission to empower our students to take over the world by providing quality instruction in a nurturing environment and equipping students with the necessary knowledge and skills to be productive citizens in society.
If you’d be interested in serving opportunities with William Paca Elementary, email Jess Pariso.
