The start of a new school year brings many new students from all over the world to the Johns Hopkins campus. Many international students are in the US for the first time, far away from home, and need friendship and community. The combination of these factors often presents an uncharacteristic openness to adapt and learn new things, including the gospel, from their new community. For some students, this may be the first and perhaps the only period in their lives when the gospel can be presented without fear of persecution.
Given this unique opportunity, RCC is partnering with the Johns Hopkins International Fellowship to organize a welcome picnic for international students. We want to show them gospel hospitality while making the connections that will hopefully lead to gospel conversations.
Your participation is essential to the success of this event. Whether you choose to attend and engage in conversations with the students or contribute by bringing a dish to share, your involvement will have a lasting impact.
